ACTIVITES UNDERWAY IN NEW NEW ZEALAND

Take The Jump Wairarapa is now well on its way with a core group of dedicated JUMPers who have been working outside of their jobs to speak at events and markets. They recently met with other conservation groups in the region to present Take The Jump and are working to encourage discussion and action around the campaign's seven shifts for climate.

Anna and Ernie Li are JUMP supporters based in Motueka whose recent Holiday Local adventure made news in the Motueka Guardian. Anna and Ernie chose a four-day local adventure over an island holiday this year for their family of four. They biked with their 5 and 7-year-old sons from Nelson to Motueka, visiting friends and experiencing the local scenery at a slower pace. Anna also features in our Givealittle video.

Take The Jump Ambassador and sustainability advisor Lucy Byrne recently planted a small vegetable garden in her backyard and features in the Eat Green segment for our Givealittle video. Did you know that in the 1950’s, growing vegetables in the backyard was commonplace and
supermarkets only began to spring up in the 1970s?
