Stunts, events, challenges, get togethers. Whatever practical things you can think of to help your JUMP.

WHY?

This tool is mainly an encouragement to everyone taking the JUMP to get practical and have fun.

We’re talking about change, so give yourself something practical to do, try new things. Either on your own, or in your groups.

Jump Tool: Try an Experiment

Here’s a few ideas (naturally always being sure to be COVID safe):

  • Plant-based cook-ins: get your friends over to share delicious plant-based food.

  • Clothes swaps: freshen up your wardrobe by swapping it with someone else’s. One person’s trash is another’s treasure...

  • Tool shares: don’t have what you need? There are heaps of tool sharing initiatives that you can benefit from.

  • Car shares: you can cheaply and easily borrow someone’s car using apps like HiyaCar. Or, if you’d like to share your car, why not sign up and let others borrow it?

  • Group local holidays: why not tap into people’s intel on where it is good to travel local and make a weekend of it.

  • New business ideas: have you discovered you’re ace at making oat milk? Or are enjoying growing your own food? Why not make a business out of it...

  • Any others? Let us know.

Jump Tool: Play with "Consumers anonymous"

How about having fun and hosting your own ‘consumers anonymous’ group? It’s a fun idea we came up with, a great way to connect and a slightly serious nod to the fact that consumerism is starting to take a bit too much control of our lives (see Deepen for more on that).

You could host it in person or online depending on the status of the pandemic. Here’s a link to a suggested outline for how to do a ‘consumers anonymous’ session (these are just suggestions, obviously feel free to follow your own inspiration).

Jump Tool: Attend an Event

Here’s a list of some of the bigger events that are coming up that you can join: Events are being planned, dates will come soon!

 TAKE THE JUMP

Even if you can’t keep to it 100%, you can still take the JUMP and just do your best.

Just start! Take the JUMP by choosing how long you want to try the shifts for:
