MARGATE ‘TAKEs THE JUMP’

On Tuesday 27th October ‘Take the Jump’ partnered with Thanet District Council to deliver a day of education, empowerment and creativity for the people of Margate!

As energy prices are on the rise in the UK, many households face difficult spending choices this winter.

One great way to help prevent energy being wasted is to make sure the home is a draft free as possible, including windows, doors and any other openings. A fun and cheap way of keeping our doors draft free is to create a draft excluder from old stockings and any old rags and old clothes you have around. This helps keep out houses warm and reduces energy (Change the System) and recycles old textiles (Dress Retro).

A huge thank you to the team at Thanet District Council and those in Margate for this wonderful event.

If you, your school, or your community would like to run a similar workshop, feel free to get in touch at team@takethejump.org
