BBC viewers see TAKE the Jump In action
On Sunday 9th March, Take the Jump founder Tom Bailey enjoyed a fantastic opportunity to share the Shifts with a nationwide audience on BBC Sunday Morning Live.
He started by showing how much power we have as citizens - 27% of emissions are within our grasp! If you look at that shown as a jar of rice, you’ll see what a big chunk it is. And the good news is we can start tackling it right away through the next everyday choice we make.
A big chunk of the crisis - in our hands to solve
Tom shared with the audience how easy and fun it is to make a start with friends, family and neighbours, and how there are all kinds of benefits to be had beyond helping our climate. You get to keep your favourite electronics for longer, shop for cheaper, healthier plant foods and even switch up your wardrobe without breaking the bank - what’s not to like?
Tom also mentioned one of the Take the Jump Foundations - Trying is Enough. Change isn’t easy, and whatever you can do is amazing. If you feel overwhelmed, just start with whatever’s easiest for you, and celebrate your wins.
